Ulli and Lena want to take half a year off to travel from Hamburg to South Africa. They never get there. Instead, they roll through West Africa for two years. They don't want to turn around until their own attitude to life has changed fundamentally.

Mit einem Jeep und einer Kamera fährt ein deutsches Paar durch Afrika. Der Film ist das Reisetagebuch von Lena Wendt und Ulrich Stirnat. Er ist sehr intim und voll tiefer Erkenntnisse wie "Lächeln reißt Grenzen ein" und "So hart das Leben hier ist, so gelebt wird es auch". Bei einer Palmölplantage sagt Lena Wendt über die Europäer: "Manchmal wünsche ich mir, wir würden Afrika einfach in Ruhe lassen." Dann fahren sie weiter.
