The Austrian aristocrat Diana lives a prosperous life in Zagreb with her husband, a highly respected doctor. When Ante Pavelic becomes dictator in Croatia, the persecution of Roma, Jews, but also ethnic Serbs and Croatians not adapted to the system begins. But Diana does not want to accept these decisions and uses her privileges to resist.
