They dream of Disneyland, but after the brothers Max and Leo emigrated from Mexico to the USA, they first have to arrive in their new home. And they have to obey the seven rules their mother has imposed on them. While the mother goes looking for a job, the two brothers stay at home alone during the day in the sparsely furnished apartment and let their imagination run wild.
